Leadership team
Being part of the leadership team at Elks Camp Grassick means having the chance to make a real, lasting impact—on campers, staff, and the culture of camp itself. Leaders help shape an environment where inclusion, support, and growth aren’t just values, but daily practices. You get to mentor staff, collaborate with a passionate team, and problem-solve in meaningful, hands-on ways, all while building leadership skills that translate far beyond camp. Requirements:
· Must have completed 2 full summers working at Camp Grassick (do not need to be consecutive)
· Must commit to working the full summer
· Must be willing to take on extra responsibilities
The Leadership Team will consist of 3 – 4 staff members. Candidates will be interviewed separately from interviews for other positions, and the leadership team duties will be in addition to another full-time, seasonal position at Camp Grassick
General Responsibilities:
The general responsibilities of the Leadership Team are to support the camp director and assistant director with day-to-day operations of camp during the summer session, to provide support to peers, and to contribute positively to the camp culture.
Specific Responsibilities
· Head committees
· Assist with set up, lead camp activities
· Assist staff with advice
· Role model positive camper behavior supports
· Assist staff and admin with escalated camper behavior
· Assume leadership in emergencies as needed
· Communicate and provide feedback to admin and peers
· Mentor peers and act as a positive role model
· Act as a resource for basic/general camp questions
· This is not an exhaustive list and other duties may be required or assigned to you.

· Open to giving and receiving feedback
· Supportive
· Compassionate
· Empathetic
· Willing to take initiative
