Move over Ralph Engelstad, there is a new hockey arena in North Dakota! Since it was another cool day and there were a few small rain showers this morning, our super cool Rec staff Ashley and Jessie built a hockey arena in the rec hall. I didn't join in but it sure looked like a lot of fun! (This is floor hockey of course - Dan just won't let us flood the rec hall!)
In crafts today, the campers made shrink art. This is always a favorite activity and the kids love watching their projects shrink "like magic". It was too cool for swimming again so some groups watched videos in the dining hall during their swim time. Dan brought over his Andy Griffith videos but I don't think those were the number one choice for campers OR staff.
Our evening activity tonight was a new one. We had a Lip Sync battle. There were 3 teams and a jeopardy style board with the musical categories Oldies, Country, Disney, Pop and Grab Bag which was a random assortment. Members of each team competed against each other by lip syncing, singing and dancing and our judges awarded points based on their performance. It was a fun activity and we hope to do some more songs another day since we didn't finish all the categories tonight.
