Jeepers it was a good day at Camp today! We started the day by sleeping in because we had a late staff meeting last night. That meant that the staff probably got a normal amount of sleep and the campers got extra sleep so they were all ready to go today!
In swimming, the campers attempted to swim through a hula hoop! Sounds tough to me but the kids could do it! There was flag tag happening in Rec and finger painting in crafts! Always lots to do at Camp!
Dan and I were just about to cancel general swim since it was getting cool and cloudy but suddenly the sun came out and it was a beautiful day to swim. The lake was like glass so a few campers and staff took the kayaks out for a spin. Our pontoon was getting a few repairs done so we just got that back today. We are looking forward to pontoon rides in the next few days.
Our evening activity tonight was Minute to Win It. All the campers took turns playing fun little games. We had cup stacking, ping pong ball tossing, balloon popping and a hoop shoot along with many others. The best part is that the campers are so encouraging of one another and cheer everyone on. Win or lose, it's fun to hear everyone cheering for you!
Tonight the Cabin 5 boys have their camp out. They get to roast marshmallows, sing songs and sleep out in our brand new tent. It's such a quiet night that I can hear them from here and it sounds like they are having a blast!
