I am slacking on my updates again!  We just have so much going on all the time!

Friday was our usual day of classes.  It was nice out again so rec disassembled the hockey arena and moved back outside.  In crafts, the campers made message boards and took their pictures to go into the picture frames they made on Thursday.

We got to go in swimming and it was a beautiful day, warm and sunny.  After supper, since it was so nice out, we went back in swimming!  It is fun to have an evening swim once in awhile.  The lake was so calm that it was a perfect night for a kayak ride.

The weather kept us on our toes later Friday night but we were very lucky and did not get the bad storm.  Bismarck had very strong winds so we were prepared to go to the storm shelter if we needed to but thankfully, the storm dissipated before it got to us.  There was some booming thunder and lots of rain but I think the majority of the campers slept right through it!  It is nice to know that we have two storm shelters that are very safe if we need them but I would rather not have to use them!

Saturday was a nice relaxing day at Camp.  We slept in and then had a few classes in the morning.  After lunch, we did do a little work.   First, we cleaned our cabins.  There is a clean cabin trophy on the line so everyone really tries to get their cabins all spic and span.  This week's winner was Cabin 8!  After that, we had a camp clean up.  The campers helped to pick up sticks, pine cones and any garbage or other debris throughout camp.  It helps so much to keep Camp looking nice and the kids take pride in it.  After all, it is their home too!

We went swimming in the afternoon.  It was a bit windy but the sun kept us warm.

Our evening activity on Saturdays is always a movie and popcorn.  Our movie was Paddington.  It is a newer movie but many campers and staff had not even heard of it so it was new to most people.  It is about a bear from Peru who finds a home with a family in London.  It has a lot of crazy parts in it since Paddington tends to get himself into lots of trouble.  The kids really enjoyed the movie and of course the popcorn and pop!
